Why name the voice at all
A critic you can name is a critic you can answer. The whole method behind this site is that grand affirmations bounce off a hard day, while graded, believable lines land; naming the specific voice you are answering is the first half of that matching. Six questions, each a moment from an ordinary week: the mirror, a win, the scroll, the ask, lights out. You tap the reaction that sounds most like the voice in your head, and the pattern across your answers points to one of six inner-critic archetypes. It takes about a minute.

Is this a psychological assessment?
No. It is a reflection tool, not a diagnosis, and the archetypes are patterns of self-talk, not clinical categories. If your inner voice is relentless, or it is affecting sleep or daily life week after week, a doctor or therapist is the right next step, and going is a strength.
